UMW Tuesday, January 22nd, 7:30 p.m. Meeting Minutes....

Just to touch lightly on some highlights of our meeting.....

Sandy Timko, President opened the meeting.

Old Business:

Shut in bags at Christmas containing fruits and cookies, totaled 21.  All were delivered

-  Sandy Keir had volunteered to supply paper products for dinners and said we had enough for two more dinners.  However, would need more table coverings.  Left the option open for using dishes as Nancy Wilhelm volunteered Phil to come up and wash dishes if need be.

-  Lance Graban brought in original sanctuary altar cross out of storage, to be hung in fellowship hall.  Sandy Keir is working with Zach Flowers to paint back wall in fellowship hall and hang original sanctuary cross there. (*Note: at this time 2/14/19 the wall is complete and the cross is on the wall!)

*MISSION TEA, Friday, April 26th, 2019 @ 6:00 p.m.....Kate Blaney will be "spear heading" our Mission Tea again this year. She will be organizing 14 of our Women of the Church to create and decorate a "themed" table.  There will be a children's table as well. Christy Lee is replacing Jonathan white as talent this year.  She can be seen March 23rd at the Hartford Winery.  Food for the tea was discussed:  two choices on a croissant...either chicken salad or egg salad.  Four kinds of cookies only, possible bar cookies?  Sandy Timko suggested "clear plate throwaways" for convenience purposes.  Vote on changing menu ws passed, majority ruled.

*RADU KNIFE COMPANY....  Kate Blaney has received information on the knives.  We will be seeing more on this fund raiser after the cookbook has been published.  Some of us already have some of the knives and have used them for many years.  We see this as being very successful.

 UMW  Church Cookbook

Initially this project would have been completed, however Deb had an unfortunate accident last summer....progress had slowed down a great deal until she could get back on her feet.  Cookbook is still a work in progress....  There is a sign up sheet in the back hallway.  We invite everyone to sign up how many copies you'll be needing.  Looking at March for finalization.  Thanks for your patience.  Sorry for the delay......"Good thinks come to those who wait"....

Please feel free to call Deb at the church on Wednesdays and Fridays, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on any inquiries.  Or email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
